Turbo Carpet Cleaning Without Electricity
Unlike an electric powerhead, the TK286 uses the vacuum's own airflow to spin an internal turbine and drive the rotating brush roller. This provides added agitation for picking up hair, lint, dust and debris from carpet and rugs without requiring an electric hose, cord or powerhead connection.
The adjustable airflow control is particularly useful on denser rugs. Opening the control can reduce resistance when strong suction pulls the nozzle too tightly against the carpet, helping the turbine maintain brush speed.
Central Vacuum & Canister Compatibility
This version of the TK286 uses a standard 1.25" / 32 mm friction-fit connection and can be used with many central vacuum systems and portable canister vacuums using the same connection. Compatibility is determined by the wand size and connection style, not simply the vacuum brand.
It is suitable for many compatible systems from brands such as Beam, Electrolux Central Vacuum, Nutone, Broan, Vacuflo, Vacumaid, Hayden, Cana-Vac, Cyclovac, Drainvac, Husky and Johnny Vac.

The TK286 is a practical choice for area rugs and low- to medium-pile carpeting when an electric powerhead is not available or necessary. For large areas of thick, dense or plush wall-to-wall carpet, an electric powerhead generally provides stronger and more consistent brush-roll performance because it does not rely on vacuum airflow to drive the brush.
