The XHF110 Switch Repair Kit is designed for later-generation Hanmi and Plastiflex combination central vacuum hoses. This 4-wire, 24V/110V switch harness is used with compatible F-style and P-style hose handles and provides a repair option when the electrical controls in the hose handle are worn or damaged.
Combination central vacuum hoses control both the low-voltage central vacuum system and the 110V electrical circuit used by a compatible electric powerhead. Replacing the switch assembly can restore proper hose-handle control when the switch or wiring harness has been diagnosed as the source of the problem.

What Does the Hose Switch Control?
A combination central vacuum hose incorporates both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical connections. The low-voltage circuit controls the central vacuum power unit, while the 110V circuit supplies electrical power for a compatible motorized carpet powerhead.
The handle switch and wiring harness allow these functions to be controlled from the hose handle. If the switch assembly or its wiring becomes damaged, the vacuum or electric powerhead may stop responding correctly even though the rest of the hose remains usable.
Common Signs of a Switch or Harness Problem
- Central vacuum does not respond correctly to the hose-handle switch
- Electric powerhead will not turn on from the handle
- Vacuum or powerhead operates intermittently when the switch is moved
- Handle switch feels loose, damaged or no longer operates normally
- Visible damage to the switch harness or internal handle wiring
