No Power
Model #'s 1132, 1543, 1652, 1632, 2747 Symphony Vac & Steam
If your Symphony™ Vacuum and Steam Mop has no power, follow these steps to resolve:
Inspect power cord
- Unplug machine
- Run hand along entire length of power cord > Check plug for damage
- If either the cord (not smooth or exposed wires) or plug (prongs) are damaged
- Test outlet
- Test outlet > Plug in a cell phone charger or small appliance
- If no power to outlet > Test a different outlet in a separate room
- Reset circuit breaker if needed
No/Low Suction
Symphony All-In-One Vacuum and Steam Mop / PowerFresh Vac & Steam | No / Low Suction
If you are experiencing Low/No Suction, follow these steps to resolve:
Check dirt bin
- Vac Light button should be pressed to activate vacuum suction
- When pressed Vac Light should illuminate
- Slide lock button/lever on front (located below dirt cup) to left then pull dirt cup out
- Turn machine on
- Place hand over motor duct opening located at the top of where dirt bin sits
Leaking

Follow these steps to resolve leaking from your Symphony
Check filter
- Unplug steam mop
- Remove filter > Firmly grasp sides of filter and pull outward
- Water filter is located below the water tank
- Inspect the filter for cracks > Examine rubber gasket for damage
Firmly reinstall filter
- Reinstall filter > Firmly push filter into place until it sits flush with machine
- There should be no gaps
No/Low Steam
If you are experiencing No/Low Steam, follow these steps to resolve:
Test trigger
- Unplug machine
- Test trigger
- Does trigger make a clicking sound when pressed?
No – bring to service center
Yes > Fill tank with room temperature water
Check hose
- Remove water filter
- Filter is located below water tank on back
- Hose tube can be removed for easier access
- Pull from bottom (sideways) & swing outward to remove
Check filter
- Does filter have beads?
- No > Check – No steam on foot
- Yes > Inspect filter & rubber gasket > If cracked or damaged, a replacement should be ordered – check your local A Vacuum Store for replacement parts
Check color of beads in filter
- Green/White = Normal
- Blue/Black/Tan = Needs to be replaced
- Red/Brown/White = Dehydrated beads
Dehydrated filter bead care
- If filter has beads, soak filter in cold water for 10-15 minutes to rehydrate
- Return filter to machine
- Push filter into place until flush with machine
- There should be no gaps
Reinstall hose tube
- Align tabs on the clear tube with notches on machine
- Swing tube down to align with lower tube
- Secure into opening
- Push firmly into place
- Plug machine in, test for steam
